The route will be fully marshalled, signed and flagged.

We spend a lot of time diligently marking our courses. Occasionally, these markings are removed by dog walkers and locals so please make yourself familiar with the online route map.

There are also Durham Coastal Half Marathon Way markers on wooden posts all along the route.

There will be marshals and signs, but navigation of the course remains the responsibility of the runner.

Trail Etiquette

As trail runners we pride ourselves on respecting the trails. We would ask you to do the same.

  • Please respect, be polite and give way to other users of the trails during the event.
  • Do not litter.
  • Keep to the marked route.

Polite Reminders

  • Earphones are allowed but must be removed when approaching the marshals as they may need to communicate with you.
  • No dogs to run during the event.

Medical / First Aid

There will be First Aid responders and a Paramedic located at the event finish area should anyone require first aid / medical assistance at the event.

Should you require First Aid at any other CP or location please contact Tim Bateson (07734309500). We will then arrange for First Aid at your location.

Finally!

We are looking forward to meeting you all at Seaham! There is a great atmosphere at Trail Outlaws events thanks to our fantastic runners and volunteers. The race marshals are there to cheer you on and stop you going the wrong way – so please thank them and give them a high five on the way round.

Come rain or shine bring your adventurous trail spirit and smile with you. Have a great time!
